African member states are formulating Blue Economy strategies to diversify their economic base and catalyse socio-economic transformation. Africa is developing fast and is showing some impressive progress. Over the past decade, Africa has recorded an average of 4 to 5 percent growth in GDP. Six of the world’s ten fastest-growing economies are in Africa.
