Life below water is a challenging idea, it challenges two often competing principles to confront each other- conservation and development. Our Focus on sustainable development, pushing science and technology to deliver both of these goals simultaneously, has led to innovation, investment, collaboration and integrity in everything we do.

To support the creation of a low-carbon, resource-efficient, socially-inclusive society which creates jobs and reduces poverty in Blue Economy communities.
The achievement of global sustainability goals that feed local objectives and conversely, these effective local implementations build global successes.
To continue support for the services, benefits and values that have been documented by initial Blue Economy Hub efforts, that are now seen as crucial for local communities, coastal states and the world as a whole.
Human demands have grown beyond Earth's sustainable means. We are consuming more resources than our planet can regenerate, with devastating consequences.
Our vision is that by 2030, Blue Economy communities around the world will achieve true sustainability by eliminating water pollution and saving the ocean corals. This will go a long way towards regenerating our Earth, our home.
Currently our focus areas are in the area of Shipbuilding, Aquaculture, Shipping, Marine ICT, and Fisheries.

Ranjan is an enterprising marine technologist. His love for oceans and ability to facilitate business cooperation led to the seeding of the hub. He is an alumnus of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow complemented by two decades of international maritime practice in technical, commercial and project management roles. Finalist at “Nor-Shipping 2017” with his co-developed design for a ship-based Garbage & Sewage Treatment Plant. Panelist on ShipInsight 2020 (UK based maritime think-tank).

Prasad started re-imagining the shipbuilding process with ROLTA, gaining valuable experience in CAD/CAM processes and radio based global geographic information mapping systems. This experience led to 10 years overseeing India and SE Asia operations for CADMATIC and appointment as CEO for a major Indian ship design company, winning 8 Industry Awards in his first 4 years.

National and International experience as a PR consultant, served in that capacity to the Chief Minister of Goa, India. Founder of PR Branding & Marketing Agency “Digital Kwills”. Regional Head for BCEL (Marine design engineering) and worked with Turner & GE. Trustee & Ex-CEO of Goa Entrepreneurs Mentoring Service Trust, Former-Director Goa IT incubation Center – the First IT incubator in Goa. Believes Speaking is a sport and has been a member of Toastmasters International since 2010. When not on land, he prefers meditating underwater.
